Proud Gold sponsor of the 2012 Scotties Curling Tournament of Hearts

Studon is proud to be a gold level sponsor and supporter of the 2012 Scotties Curling Tournament of Hearts. Bringing the tournament home to Red Deer for 2012 is a major accomplishment for the city and we are more than happy to see back in Alberta since last hosted in Lethbridge, 2007.

Scotties Tournament of Hearts features some of the best Canadian curlers, all competing for top spot. Curling in Canada is celebrated as one of the nations favourite past-times and we are excited to be apart of and to see this event continue the tradition.

"Studon gives back"

Studon as an organization is continuing its tradition of "Giving". With this in mind, the Company will recognize The United Way of Central Alberta as its charity of choice. We will be dedicating the Month of October to raise funds for our United Way Campaign. As an organization, Studon will not only help fund the United Way corporately, but will encourage all employees to do the same! In addition to our annual October campaign drive, we will be donating all proceeds from our Christmas party to the United Way as well. Our United Way Committee is chaired by Louie McCullagh, Human Resources Partner.

Cancervive

To support those battling cancer, Studon both sponsors and participates in Cancervive's Peloton Project.  Employee's have cycled across the continent for this cause and together we have raised in excess of $100,000 to help those fighting cancer.

Doug Rogers Memorial Ride

On May 13, 2008, part of the Cancervive team from Calgary peddled to Edmonton to take part in the C2CC Teleconference Panel - Advocacy for Cancer Professionals at the Alberta Legislature. The ride from Calgary to Edmonton was named The Doug Rogers Memorial Ride, in memory of our friend Doug Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of Studon. Doug was a big supporter and participant of Cancervive. In that spirit, the riders stopped by our Red Deer office to meet the staff and say hi to everyone.

Loaves and Fishes

Is an organization in Red Deer that provides food for the hungry, refuge for the weary and comfort for the broken hearted.  Their goal is to build self esteem, confidence and to providing a listening ear to those who need it most. Studon takes pride in being part of this community initiative.
